CURRENT RECREATIONAL REFEREES
Our referees are paid through cash from the homefield coach at the time of the match. The pay schedule is $15 for U6-U8 games, $20 for U9-U10 games, $25 center and $20 ARs for U11-U12 games, $30 center and $25 ARs for U13-U14 games, and $35 center and $30 ARs for U15 and up games.
Be aware of the new requirements for recertification for 2020. You need to set up a new U.S. Soccer Learning Center Account, get a background check (if you are over 18) and undergo multiple online training modules. The recertification period is now open. Look for the emails from Chip Walaska with the specific instructions, or visit www.iowasoccer.org/recertification__registration/.
BECOME A RECREATIONAL REFEREE
If you are 12 years old or older, you could earn money by becoming a certified referee. Soccer West needs you!
Once you have taken and passed the course, email the Director of Referees.
If you are the referee for 3 or more SWSC games each season in a calendar year, your certification or recertification cost will be refunded to you by SWSC.
